Eligibility
Participating in the Miss America system not only helps you pay for college and prepare for a career, it also provides an opportunity to gain additional life experience, working on issues of importance to society, enhancing your personal and professional skills and developing your performance-related and other talents.
This pageant is open to all Pima County residents or Pima County students who meet the criteria below:
1. Be an American citizen.
2. Be age 17 by October 12, 2009 and not turn 25 before December 31, 2010.
3. Be at least 17-years-old and entering your senior year of high school in the fall of 2009.
4. Be single, never married, nor have any children.
5. Live, work full-time, or attend school full-time in Pima County.
6. Satisfy the minimum $100 Children's Miracle Network donation
How to Apply:
1. Attend one of the contestant information meetings.
2. Complete all necessary paperwork including contestant application, notarized contestant contract, resume, platform issue statement, and submit a color photo by the paperwork deadline.
3. Register at www.missamerica4kids.org in order to raise the required Children's Miracle Network donation. *Please read the CMN/MAO Guide before creating your page.
Judging Criteria
Talent- 35%
Interview- 25%
Evening Wear- 20%
Swimwear- 15%
On-Stage Question- 5%
